Understand the format
Indian rummy formats organise cards into sequences and sets. A sequence uses consecutive ranks of one suit; a set uses the same rank across different suits.
What to read on the screen
A pure sequence contains no substitute joker. A joker-assisted sequence is a different group type. Required group counts, deck details and declaration conditions must be checked in the selected room. A low points total alone does not establish a valid declaration.
A worked reading example
7♥–8♥–9♥ illustrates a natural sequence. 7♥–8♣–9♥ does not share one suit. Three queens of different suits illustrate a set rather than a sequence.
A useful question to ask
What should I check before using another version’s rules?+
Check the full game name, selected variant and active help screen. The example above explains a format; it does not replace your room’s rules, controls or settlement conditions.
