Understand the format
Colour-matching card formats use a shared discard pile. A card may match the current colour, number or permitted symbol; special cards change the next action.
What to read on the screen
Read action-card instructions before treating them like number cards. Wild-card restrictions, drawing rules and the final-card announcement should come from the actual version. This is an independent format guide, not a licensed rules document.
A worked reading example
A red 5 and a blue 5 share a number. A red 2 and a red 5 share a colour. Whether either can be played also depends on the current action and version rules.
A useful question to ask
What should I check before using another version’s rules?+
Check the full game name, selected variant and active help screen. The example above explains a format; it does not replace your room’s rules, controls or settlement conditions.
