Understand the format
Common baccarat scoring counts aces as one, number cards from two to nine at their values, and tens and face cards as zero. Only the units digit is used for a hand total.
What to read on the screen
Player and Banker are named sides. Additional-card rules are prescribed by the format rather than chosen freely like blackjack actions. Room variations and tie settlement should be read separately.
A worked reading example
A 7 and an 8 add to 15, giving a baccarat total of 5. That arithmetic differs from blackjack, where the full total is read differently.
A useful question to ask
What should I check before using another version’s rules?+
Check the full game name, selected variant and active help screen. The example above explains a format; it does not replace your room’s rules, controls or settlement conditions.
